“As the Father has loved me, so also I have loved you. Remain in my love. If you hold on to my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have held on to my Father’s commands and remain in his love." ~ John 15,9-10 |
Confirmation class typically begins in the Fall each year and is conducted by the Pastor. Each student is taken through the main teachings of the Bible using a study guide provided by the Pastor and Martin Luther's Small Catechism (no cost to parent). Lite memory work is assigned from the Catechism and Bible and recited each week.
Sometimes Confirmation class is called, "Catechism class" [From the Greek, katēkhéō, meaning “to catechize, instruct, teach by word of mouth”]. The Holy Spirit's goal in every lesson is to draw us closer through a deeper understanding of who Jesus is and what he has taught us in his holy Word. As students grow in faith through each lesson they are also prepared for receiving the the Lord's Supper (Holy Communion), and becoming a communicant member of the congregation. God bless our students as they take this important step in their faith life! Interested in enrolling your son or daughter? Email the church at: [email protected] |
